Joshua Balog, MD
Dr. Balog’s primary clinical interest is heart rhythm disorders, including atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter, syncope, and supraventricular and ventricular tachycardia. He has expertise in cardiac resynchronization therapy, radiofrequency catheter ablation and hybrid ablation procedures, pacemaker and ICD placement, and left atrial appendage closure procedures. He joins Englewood Health Physician Network – HVA Medical Group and will be seeing patients at their Clifton, Fair Lawn, Pompton Plains, and Ramsey offices.
“Taking care of patients is a privilege,” says Dr. Balog. “In my practice, I tailor treatments for each patient, using my expertise and state-of-the-art techniques to arrive at the best outcomes. At Englewood Health, I will be able to offer patients with acute or chronic rhythm disorders a full range of specialized electrophysiology testing and procedures.”
He adds, “In treating patients with complex heart disease, I collaborate with primary care doctors and specialists across the network, through enhanced communication and shared electronic medical records. Being part of the Englewood Health Physician Network allows me to contribute to an outstanding team of specialists advancing patient care in northern New Jersey.”
Dr. Balog is board certified in cardiovascular disease, clinical cardiac electrophysiology, and internal medicine, with additional certification in nuclear cardiology. He received his MD from Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He did an internal medicine residency at the Boston University School of Medicine and a cardiovascular medicine fellowship at North Shore-LIJ Health System, followed by a clinical cardiac electrophysiology fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, in Philadelphia.
