Andi Qipo, MD, MPH, is a board certified internal medicine physician who completed an internal medicine residency at Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx, NY, affiliated with Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He received a Master of Public Health degree from the Harvard School of Public Health.
"The call for helping and supporting people must have started early in my life encouraged by my family. I always felt fulfilled when making a friend or a stranger feel better in a difficult situation physically or mentally. That carried on during my life and led me to an interest in medicine that my parents nourished. When I initially moved to the United States, I worked as researcher at Massachusetts General Hospital discovering new treatment for transplant rejection, and obtained a Master in Public Health degree at Harvard. I completed medical training in my original country of Albania and, upon moving to the United States, underwent training in internal medicine and nephrology at NYC Health and Hospitals in NY. Since that time, I have been practicing medicine with HVA Medical Group and taking care of patients in the hospital and office. My specific interests are in Hypertension, Diabetes mellitus and Kidney diseases. I communicate fluently in Albanian as well as Spanish and Italian. I am looking forward to treating, educating and supporting patients to be an active part in their care as they learn to manage their diseases."
